North Carolina State Guard Association is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to aiding and training the citizens of North Carolina for emergency situations in times of disaster.
We act as manpower multipliers and serve where we are needed throughout the state. Our men and women are cross-trained in many areas of emergency assistance. A number of NCSG personnel have medical, law enforcement, and fire fighting backgrounds.
The North Carolina State Guard counts among its members, men and women who have served their country in peace and in war times. Many are retired military, whom continue to contribute their time and money to this Volunteer organization.
All members of the NCSG are required to train in CPR and First Aid. Classes to certify personnel are offered by the Red Cross and American Heart Association. Members of units are encouraged to train with ARES and other local communication groups. Additional training opportunities are offered through the association.
